Vintage Tuareg rug.
Tuareg rug with intricately woven wide decorative panels, with lines in a hint of mustard and ochre
Vintage Tuareg mats and runners were handcrafted by nomadic tribes from across the Sahara desert, hailing from Mali, Niger, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Libya and Mauritania.
Their muted palette echoes the colours of the Saharan landscape. This combined with their reed and camel or goat leather construction (the only materials available) lends the rugs their tactile, organic feel.
